I’m really excited to announce that the Kite Runner for which I did the video design on is transferring to the West End for a limited run. Tickets can be bought from all the major ticket outlets.

From the Stage press release:

A stage adaptation of Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner is to transfer to the West End for a 12-week run.

The play, co-produced by Nottingham Playhouse and Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, will be staged at Wyndham’s Theatre from December 21 to March 11. A press night will be held on January 10.

Ben Turner will return to star in the play, which was adapted for the stage by Matthew Spangler.

Nottingham Playhouse artistic director Giles Croft directed the production when it was first staged at his theatre in 2013, and oversaw a subsequent tour of the UK.

He said was “delighted” his production was finally getting to play on the West End stage.

“The power and relevance of this timeless story doesn’t diminish – I am looking forward to seeing the reaction of the audience to this production in London,” he said

Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse artistic director Gemma Bodinetz added: “After delighting and moving our audiences in equal measure we feel sure that The Kite Runner will be a remarkable addition to the West End and are very proud to be associated with it.”

The Kite Runner is being produced in the West End by Martin Dodd for UK Productions and Derek Nicol and Paul Walden for Flying Entertainment.
